Job Description My client a leading branded retail business are looking for an Assistant Accountantto join the team due to growth on a temp to perm basis
Due to growth my client, a leading luxury branded retail company are looking to hire an Assistant Accountant. The role will join an established team and assist with the growth of the business.
The role will report to the Finance Director and will provide a wide variety of financial support including but not limited to:
Managing all payments and expenses for the company including purchase orders payroll, statements etc
Ensuring suppliers are paid in line with terms
Analysing accounts payable and producing reports
Preparing the payroll file for payment of salaries and ad hoc queries
Manage the accounts receivable ledger including the billing system
produce sale ledger invoices and accounts statements
Perform any necessary reconciliations including cash book and bank reconciliations
Review debtor balances
Any ad hoc retail accounting tasks including commissions calculations, banking and petty cash control
Skills and experience required to include:
AAT qualified or equivalent
Experience of accounts payable, sales ledger and payroll
Strong systems experience including Excel (pivot tables etc)
Ideally experience within retail, FMCG or manufacturing
Strong communication skills both internally and externally
Ability to work in a team and alone
