The Accounting & IT Manager will oversee all facets of the fiscal, IT and payroll administration of the club.  The Accounting & IT Manager will develop policies to control and coordinate accounting, budgets, taxes and related activities and records; develop, establish and administer procedures and systems pertaining to financial matters and prepare financial statements.  Maintain all accounting records and is responsible for development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information.  Evaluate operating results in terms of costs, revenues, budgets, policies of operation, trends and increased profit possibilities. Manage the payroll administrative functions which include benefits, payroll processing, record keeping, employee files and team building programs.  This individual will also be responsible for the IT needs on property with the assistants of an outside IT firm.  Additional Responsibilities include:

• Assists with the management of merchandise, food and beverage inventories which includes developing controls and monitoring of procedures
• Oversee payroll and benefit administration for the entire club
• Involved with the budgeting process, revenue and cost control procedures and forecasting
• Prepares the monthly trial balance and resulting financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Changes in Financial Condition for the club along with required supporting schedules and other data necessary for financial reports and records
• Reconciles monthly ledgers including receivables, payables, bank accounts, asset accounts and wage accounts
• Prepares and/or supervises preparation of applicable federal, state and local tax returns in conjunction with external accounting firm.
• Manages two part time accounting assistants
• Negotiates and maintains contracts for maintenance of computers and office equipment
• Compiles and approves credit applications for vendors
• Negotiates and administers employee benefits including health and life insurance, and workers’ compensation. Gathers information and assists the General Manager in making decisions about employee benefit plans
• Maintains Fixed Asset ledgers and prepares depreciation schedules for monthly entries
• Audits all cash and charge expenditures
• Safeguards all funds in bank accounts; assures that revenues are properly and correctly deposited and supervises the drawing of all checks
• Monitors collection of past due accounts, advises General Manager when difficult situations may arise
• Maintains club’s personnel files
• Plans and/or delivers applicable club-wide training programs
• Assists the club and General Manager with varies projects pertinent to accounting and human resources.
• Is the main resource for the club’s accounting software, Northstar.
• Will troubleshoot some minor IT issues and make a decision to engage outside firm when necessary.
