The successful candidate will most likely hold a chartered accountancy qualification and be either operating as a Senior Associate/Manager or junior VP M&A professional, or be an experienced M&A professional at the same level.
You will have the capability to hit the ground running and confidently run deals, as well as aspire to build your own client contacts and be heavily involved in business development.
Experience in Industrials M&A is advantageous but we are open to Generalists and others with an interest in this Industry.
Responsibilities of the role include the following:
Day-to-day responsibility for managing transactions and undertaking valuations of businesses, conducting negotiations and attendance in, and often directing, client meetings.
Duties will include the production of sales documentation, managing communications with clients, producing and attending management presentations, managing due diligence processes and reviewing and commenting on sale contracts and related documents
Deeply involved in aspects of team management, including resourcing, recruitment, ongoing coaching and career development
In order to meet my client's criteria you will:
Have solid M&A experience and confidently operate at a Senior Associate of junior VP level and able to run a deal from initiation to close
Being a qualified CA will be advantageous (but isn't a requirement). If a qualifed accountant, you will have accrued significant post-qualification corporate finance experience, in particular in terms traditional M&A, where you will have developed a strong track record of managing transactions
Be numerate, proactive and have a desire to grow into origination and progress to MD level
Able to manage multiple concurrent projects and warm to working with and aiding the development of juniors
