JOB SUMMARY Senior accountant/financial analyst with experience in the hospitality or food and beverage industry, specifically restaurants and retail sales. Responsible for reporting packages preparation and analytics monthly, quarterly and annually and along with other client reporting. May support new business initiatives. Partners with business and provides comprehensive support in financial matters. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Client reporting packages & Budgets: Produces reporting packages on regular and ad-hoc basis. Is responsible for related analytics and data quality checks. Provides qualitative analysis and comments. Prepares periodic financial statements as per the reporting standards of the client and assists with annual audit . Assist client with budgeting and forecasting. Assist in preparing client presentations relating to financials. Completes in an accurate and timely manner. Monitors Financial Performance: Monitors, compiles and analyzes financial data. Performs detailed review of monthly reports and may provide a forward-looking view to client. Actively supports activities leading to improvement of financial performance of the client. New Business Participation & Structuring: May participate in new business proposals. May assist with structuring investments. Customer Service: Executes on processes and procedures, and constantly provides feedback on process improvement. Performs administrative tasks as required. Troubleshoots escalated issues and ensures internal and external customer requests are handled timely, accurately and with a focus on customer service. Systems Implementation: Participates in systems testing and implementation-related tasks. Provides data, information and has in-depth supporting role in an audit process. Special Projects: May participate in special projects. Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned Coordination: Responsible for facilitation of information and data flow between accounting and asset management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Will act as supervisor for junior team members. Will provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or specific training to others. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Degree from a four-year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting, finance or related field required. A minimum of four years accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES Certified Accountant qualifications in relevant jurisdictions. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Communicates clearly, effective and concisely. Has solid negotiation and group presentation skills. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires intermediate knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations including an intermediate knowledge of financial terms and principles to include accounting methods (cash, accrual, and full GAAP). Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts intermediate financial analysis. Solid technical financial skills and comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and FASB, REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES Advance economics, math and analytical skills and ability to apply them and in the pursuit of diverse situations. Knowledge of Company financial systems as well as internal and external information sources. Intermediate knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products with focus on Excel). Ability to work in multiple accounting and/or reporting software applications. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to clients, co-workers and supervisor.
