Stanford Management Company (SMC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Investment Operations Analyst, School & Department Funds. SMC, the University’s investment office, is responsible for managing the University’s endowment funds, which provide critical financial support to current and future generations of students and scholars, supplying over one fifth of the University’s operating budget each year. The School & Department Funds group provides administrative and reporting support for separately invested portfolios with different objectives and mandates for specific schools and departments. These portfolios include, The Stanford Business School Trust, the Stanford Engineering Venture Fund, the Department of Athletics Investment Fund, the President’s Venture Fund, the Law School Venture Fund, the Hoover Fund, among others.
The Analyst will report to the Director, School and Department Funds (SDF) and will work closely within a four-person team to provide middle and back office services for these separately invested portfolios. The core operational duties will require excellent execution and organizational skills to support investments in start-up companies and fund managers.
