The Finance group within University Relations is the office for the fiscal administration, financial reporting, and investment accounting for the University Relations Division and UC Santa Cruz Foundation. Donor Relations develops and executes systems, plans, and tools in partnership with leadership and frontline fundraising to communicate to our donors the impact of their gifts and the importance of their relationship with UC Santa Cruz. Job Overview Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, incumbent assists with planning and implementing a comprehensive program for tracking gift and endowment funds to ensure that they are managed, reported on, and spent appropriately. The incumbent will perform financial analyses and prepare reports for endowments and gifts; act as compliance officer to assist campus officials, ensuring the appropriate use of endowment expendable allocations in accordance with gift agreement terms; create and maintain tracking databases; and communicate endowment and gift information to campus administrators and staff. Additionally, this position provides support to Foundation and divisional accounting staff. The incumbent assists Donor Relations management in the execution of comprehensive campus-wide donor acknowledgement, recognition, and reporting initiatives to strengthen donor engagement and philanthropic support to UC Santa Cruz. The incumbent will lead efforts to provide financial data, donor data, and donor research as needed for all members of the University Relations team with special emphasis on annual endowment fund reporting initiatives. A highly visible and responsible position, the incumbent provides administrative support to Donor Relations management while representing the University Relations to a diverse constituency.
