This role is ideal for the candidate who was drawn to the accounting field by their passion for categorization and organization. The role is not a traditional accounting role in that the employee will not perform monthly financial closes and reviews; however, an accounting background is essential to understand the underlying concepts and theory behind the role's responsibilities. An eagerness to learn and apply technology to financial reporting is a must. The employee will support Greystar's Corporate Accounting's current and future accounting systems initiatives at the financial reporting level. The position is one that works directly with high-level accounting managers across an international organization. The ideal candidate needs to have the ability to move quickly and fluidly across multiple initiatives and have best-in-class collaboration and written/verbal communication skills. The employee will report to the Corporate Accounting Systems Internal Consultation & Data Administration team, whose goal is to align Greystar's corporate accounting systems for internal and external reporting to the efficient and effective analysis of accounting data. This team ultimately reports to the Greystar Headquarters Corporate Accounting group.
Trained to perform dimension and data maintenance across all accounting systems for corporate budgeting and financial reporting
Trained to facilitate monthly/quarterly/yearly accounting system period close management and communication
Experience with the above will facilitate employee's role in the company's future system implementations and enhancements within Greystar's lines of business
Experience in these systems is preferred, but not required. The systems can be taught if the employee has an eagerness to learn and apply technology to advance efficient and effective financial reporting.

Oracle systems and/or SmartView experience preferred, but not required
Employment history that demonstrates the application and usage of an accounting and financial background to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports in accordance with accounting, finance, budgeting, and cost control principles
