As a Director in CrossCountry's Accounting Advisory practice you will serve as an extension of our leadership team to lead, develop, and build our services in the Washington, D.C. market, with a primary focus on Corporate Transactions. Our Accounting Advisory team helps leaders and their organizations anticipate and respond to accounting changes, increased financial reporting, new accounting standards and transaction-related demands. Responsibilities - Client Delivery
- Partner with our clients to enable, lead, and manage transaction activities, providing an optimized roadmap to efficiently transition their financial reporting and operational processes from the due diligence phase through post transaction optimization
- Manage client accounts, projects, and engagements, including work plans, staffing, deadlines, and budgets throughout all lifecycle phases - strategy, goal-setting, deliverables, and maintaining an integrated project plan
- Practice Leadership
- Serve as a key leader in our practice by guiding and directing strategic firm and practice initiatives
- Lead marketing and business development efforts in support of all the firm's services with a focus on continuing to develop Accounting Advisory's service offerings
- Developing new client relationships as well as expanding at existing clients
- Participate in firm-wide committees and internal initiatives such as thought leadership, industry forums, recruiting, sales/business development, marketing, training, and organizational development
- People Leadership
- Manage teams by guiding performance against objectives, creating an atmosphere of trust and collaboration, modeling leadership behaviors, and encouraging continuous improvement/innovation
- Lead coaching family by serving as a role model, coach, mentor and liaison to the leadership team
Travel - Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%
Required Experience & Qualifications - 12+ years of relevant accounting experience advising publicly traded companies, including experience supporting transactions as a result of, or in preparation for, one or more of the following areas: mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-off, carve-out, IPO
- Prior experience in professional services (public accounting or advisory firm), preferably at a large, global accounting firm or with a management consulting firm
- In depth knowledge of accounting standards (U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS)
Desired Experience & Qualifications - Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Demonstrated track record of establishing credibility both internally and externally

Education - Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Business, Finance or other technical discipline
