POSITION SUMMARY: The Bursar is a salaried accounting position responsible for the execution and coordination of processes related to student billing, receivables and payment functions for Spalding University. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or finance, with three or more years of progressively responsible experience in the position of bursar, accounts payable/receivable clerk or office manager. Additional job-related education may substitute for required experience. Candidate must possess exceptional time-management skills and be available to work additional hours in order to meet enrollment, financial reporting and audit deadlines. WORKING ENVIORNMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Environment: Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Employee must be able to work in an environment characterized by occasional interruptions and fluctuating workloads with minimal direct supervision. Physical: Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds; to operate a desktop computer that requires repetitive hand movement and the use of a computer keyboard. |
