ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Capture all recurring transactions in the General Ledger monthly • Reconcile activities with the Agency's operating account banks, trustees, and servicing banks • Record GF investments in the General Ledger monthly • Manage accounts payable, receivable and payroll processes • Reconcile intercompany balances monthly • Maintain a fixed assets schedule and record depreciation/amortization • Maintain the prepaids and deferred revenue schedules • Assist in the annual budgeting process and manage the actual v. budget reporting monthly • Responsible for monthly/quarterly/annual closes • Coordinate and lead all external audits and compliance reviews • Continually look for process improvements including the automation of key accounting process and major reconciliations, processes • Make recommendations to the Controller regarding enhancements needed to improve accuracy, productivity and efficiency for the reporting, production, and operating processes associated with the financial close • Assist in the implementation of pertinent GASB pronouncements and compliance with any necessary regulatory reporting requirements • Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field or equivalent experience • 5 -7 years of experience in accounting/ or and finance • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus • Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles • Must possess strong organizational, analytical, and math/quantitative skills • Possess supervisory / management experience • Must be able to successfully and autonomously manage projects of a varied and complex nature • Must be a self-starter • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Must have good interpersonal skills Apply Here PI130291906 |
