Our client is experiencing a period of high growth and are subsequently looking to add a newly qualified accountant, with either valuations or transaction services experience, to join as a Portfolio Manager. This is a very commercial opportunity and the individual will report into the Portfolio Director. The role is varied and the appointee will help with overseeing the reporting, valuations and performance of the growing venture portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting
• Support with the preparation of the bi-annual investor reports and valuations
• Provide insightful explanations of portfolio companies performance
• Track the investments entry valuations and expected exit valuations
• Develop an understanding of the key financial metrics and key performance indicators for each of the portfolio companies
• Maintain and develop list of preferred third-party resources
• Ad hoc support to the investment team

The appointee must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong academic track record. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in either audit or accounts preparation from a top 20 practice firm, with good verbal and written communication skills. Experience in either valuations or transaction services is desirable.
