The Tariff Analyst supports all tariff-related activity for Magellan’s regulated common carrier assets. The Tariff Analyst provides assistance with pipeline tariff preparation, maintenance, and filing; manages electronic and paper files and records required by state and federal regulations; collaborates with other groups to coordinate and oversee the design and implementation of special tariff programs; ensures appropriate setup and maintenance of tariff rates in carrier billing systems; and develops and maintains processes to meet internal business objectives and needs. - Timely and properly prepare, format, file, and maintain all joint tariffs where an MMP-operated carrier is a participating carrier, including coordinating with representatives of other joint carriers to ensure the joint rate meets all regulatory and contractual requirements; maintain accurate and correct joint tariff division sheets for all joint tariffs to which any MMP-operated carrier is the collecting carrier; maintain sum-of-locals worksheets for all joint tariffs to which any MMP-operated carrier is the collecting carrier.
- In collaboration with the MMP commercial, legal, accounting and other appropriate subject matter expert groups, properly prepare, format, file, and maintain all refined products and crude special tariff programs (such as volume incentive programs and firm programs), for all MMP-operated carriers.
- In collaboration with MMP legal, provide guidance to MMP commercial, accounting, and other groups to ensure compliance with all tariff regulations prescribed by FERC and state common-carrier rate regulators.
- Perform data entry of rates in the revenue tariff system (ATLAS) and data entry of points in inventory management systems (ATLAS and COBALT).
- Perform periodic compliance reviews of all filed tariffs, as directed, to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and internal requirements.
- Participate in and support internal or external audits as they relate to FERC and SOX compliance, and as directed,
- Receive and provide training related to tariff regulations, policies, and procedures.
