This position's primary duties are: (1) accounts for the University’s investments, including the Endowment, (2) prepares the annual Form 990-T, and (3) prepares the many tax returns (excess of 10) for the University’s offshore endowment partnership and corporation investments. This position interfaces with the University’s outside audit firm on all these matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Sr. Accountant will be involved in a wide range of investment accounting, tax work, and financial analysis activities across all investment asset classes – public equity, private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, real estate, and other alternative investments. This position works closely with the University’s outsourced investment management company which directs all the University endowment investments.
• Researches a variety of financial, tax, accounting trends, and administrative topics for the purpose of providing information and recommendations that impact college operations.
• Participate in all phases of monthly and yearly accounting processes and investment accounting operations; responsible for internal and external investment reporting activities to ensure that accurate and timely information is available to senior management for decision-making.
• Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the department.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required. CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years with accounting and/or auditing firm, preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of Higher Education accounting, preferred.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to proactively manage a variety of projects and timelines; demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness and an ability to manage multiple assignments and deliverable.
