Management Accountant role in central Bristol, for a striving SME with UK and international presence. Ideal role for a qualified accountant with experience in a fast-paced industry.
Morgan McKinley are partnering with a promising SME who, due to growth, are looking to recruit a Management Accountant. This role reports to the Head of Finance and is part of a close-knit team. The role holder will oversee all projects ensuring their profitability and systems maintenance.
Key responsibilities for this role;
Managing and reviewing monthly-cycle projects; cost and billing forecasts, reconciliations, profitability reports, complete monthly management accounts with variance analysis
Liaising closely with project owners and key stakeholders reporting on any risks/opportunities that could impact project's profitability
Support the Head of Finance to design and implement financial processes
Assist with ad-hoc projects when needed
To be successful in your application for this role it is beneficial to have/be;
Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA); newly qualified or finalists will also be considered
Experience in a dynamic industry environment; exposure in project accounting is highly desirable
Strong analytical and excel skills (pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc.) with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data
Competent with accounting and ERP systems is advantageous; SAP, Xero
Good social and business partnering skills as this is a client-faced role
Ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple activities and stakeholders
