This is a full-time, nine month, tenure-track faculty position (100% teaching, research, and service) at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance. The official course load is 12 credits, four 3 credit courses per semester, but some reassigned time may be earned through research productivity. The successful candidate will teach Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced accounting courses at the undergraduate level, develop curriculum and assessment, maintain an active research agenda in accounting, advise upper-level majors, and provide service to both the university and the profession. Opportunities exist for optional summer employment through teaching, research grants, internship supervision, and other funding sources. Anticipated appointment date: August 23, 2021.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education: Doctorate in accounting or appropriate related discipline from an accredited institution (ABD withconfirmed completion date prior to start of employment will be considered)
Teaching experience: Evidence of teaching effectiveness (most recent student evaluations and peer observations)
Research: Demonstrated commitment to scholarly activities that result in peer-reviewed publications.
Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and/or other accounting related certification.
