Holy Names Academy is seeking a full-time Business Office Accountant - Financial Reporting and Payroll. General schedule is 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday –Friday, including the summer months. This position includes an occasional evening or weekend duty such as the incoming student registration.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, which include payroll, accounts payable, general ledger, revenue recognition, tax compliance, banking, investments, and cash management.
Prepare month/quarter/year end journal entries and closing processes.
Prepare the organization's tax reporting and state and local filing requirements.
Prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and the organization’s policies.
Implement internal controls and maintain internal control environment to ensure compliance with organization’s policies and procedures for general accounting operations.
Support the Business Manager with all planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting.
BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and other similar accounting interface programs.
Four or more years of advanced level of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Abila Sage MIP Software Fund Accounting or similar accounting software preferred.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now software preferred.
Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
Expertise in initiating continuous improvement and business process management.
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and willingness to participate in projects.
