As a member of the six-person Finance team, this position reports to the CFO and leads organizational activities in the proper handling of all revenue flows. Joining the team as we implement a new strategic plan and technology infrastructure provides an opportunity to significantly contribute and shape tools and processes for the future and requires the ability to adapt the position as needed.

Works closely with staff throughout the organization to assess and set up sales products, determine budgets, identify financial needs (accounting and treasury) to evaluate and implement related systems.
Together with the direct report Staff Accountant – Receipts & Receivables – handles all organizational receipts and revenue recording, audit/tax prep schedules & requests, sales tax tracking and payments (inclusive of periodic needs of non-local events), accounts receivable & collection management for the 3 main organizations (501c3, 501c6 and for-profit subsidiary).
Coordinates and/or handles accounting for the subsidiaries of the for-profit.
Strong knowledge of accounting - GAAP/IFRS (as needed), tax and other regulations.
High level of proficiency with technology and relevant tools - spreadsheet, database and reporting tools and software.
Highly organized, detail oriented with the ability to prepare financial analysis and clearly articulate meaning to staff at various levels/financial acumen.
Ability to adapt to changing work environments, manage effectively within uncertainty and where needed, lead others through change.
Ability to step back and provide a high-level overview, connect seemingly disconnected activities where appropriate to see the big picture.
Adherence to deadlines/timelines critical.
Supervisory Responsibility The Cash Receipts Bookkeeper directly reports to this position.
Work Environment This position operates remotely or in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
Physical Demands This position requires the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Work hours are flexible; office core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. Due to the pandemic, this position is temporarily remote.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance.
Seven to ten years’ experience with at least three in a supervisory role.
Preferred Education and Experience
Graduate degree or relevant credential such as CPA or CMA
Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
