Qualified Fund Accountant required to take ownership of the accounting and reporting for a number of segregated mandates, and to support the Senior Fund Accountant in the various activities currently undertaken.
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of annual financial statements
Preparation of audit packs and working with external auditors to ensure timely sign-off
Property development drawdowns on forward funding contracts
Fund expense management – invoice logging, approvals & processing
Ledger posting/monthly bookkeeping
Assisting the Senior Fund Accountant with ad hoc queries and projects
Ensure the smooth day to day running of the accounting functions of the mandates allocated
REQUIREMENTS OF THE CANDIDATE
Finalist/newly qualified accountant
At least 3 years experience within the financial industry ideally gained in a real estate, fund administration or investment environment
A flexible attitude towards working and be prepared to meet tight deadlines at key times of the year.
A "can-do" attitude and be prepared to help the business achieve the targets set.
A strong 'common sense' attitude is key to resolving issues that arise from time to time.
A clear communicator and be prepared to speak directly to manage people involved in the processes.
Strong Excel skills
Understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS & other relevant accounting standards
Ability to self-organise, team player, ability to work on multiple tasks to meet deadlines
