Position Purpose: Maintain FACTS Tuition Management system including student billing and accounts receivable reconciliations, analyses and reporting. Assist with compiling auxiliary program and financial aid information, analyses and reports. Communicate with parents as needed. Oversee all student billing and accounts receivable processing according to school policy.
Maintain billing accounts and records in FACTS Tuition Management system
Contact parents for payment resolution
Negotiate payment arrangements
Record and reconcile payments
Resolve payment discrepancies
Produce tuition billing and accounts receivable reports as required by management
Assist with collections
Respond to parent inquiries
Record and reconcile payments and activity in CampBrain [auxiliary program software]
Process bank deposits using remote deposit service
Assist with financial aid applications and awards including communication with aid prospects/recipients
Record tuition refund insurance premiums
Calculate, record and submit tuition refund insurance claims to appropriate agency
Assist with month end close including account reconciliation and preparation of journal entries
Research budget to actual cost variances
Provide reconciliations and other assistance as needed for annual audit
Recommend and draft policies and procedures related to job processes
Assist with special projects
Cross-train designated business office staff to provide support as needed
Maintains expertise in subject matter through professional development
Performs other duties as assigned by the Controller
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting/finance.
Ability to apply common sense and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form,
Capable of contributing in a team environment
Attentive to detail, organized, and able to multi-task
Able to ascertain which people may need immediate assistance and to act accordingly
Able to communicate effectively, both written and oral, with all constituents in a school environment
Must demonstrate competency with basic word processing, spreadsheet, database and internet functions
Able to use basic office equipment
Experience with the following software preferred: Blackbaud, FACTS Tuition Management, InResonance, and CampBrain.
