Manages the Controller's Department, including the Accounting, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Accounting Policy Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Reconcilements, Financial Systems, and Special Projects areas for Fulton Financial Corporation and Fulton Bank.
Ensures that Fulton Financial Corporation's accounting policies and practices conform to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and banking regulatory requirements. Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring financial policies and procedures. Serves on key management and risk committees.

Periodically confers with and counsels senior management on accounting policy matters, accounting transactions, accounting standards, financial results, fiscal plans, profitability improvement opportunities and other matters, as necessary.
Manages relationship with external auditors.
Manages risk and compliance matters in all areas of responsibility.
Confers with other banking professionals and nonbanking professionals concerning industry technical, accounting, financial reporting and regulatory matters.
Confers with employees within the department and in other departments of the bank, to ensure coordinated efforts and conformity in financial reporting and planning.
Serves on various risk and management committees, including Enterprise Risk Management, Asset Liability Management and Technology Strategy and Risk Committee.
Develops, implements and monitors policies and procedures for financial control of Fulton Financial Corporation. Ensures that all financial accounting and reporting is in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures. Develops and implements sound policies and procedures to monitor and protect Fulton Financial Corporation earnings and liquidity and maintain financial control. Assists in the coordination of effective profit planning and cost accounting. Communicates with subordinates to insure a complete understanding of approved policies and procedures. Reviews the accurate and timely recording and classification of bank revenues and expenditures to appropriate General Ledger accounts, investing and resolving complex balancing problems. Directs the preparation of Fulton Financial Corporation and Fulton Bank's profit and loss and financial statements. Ensures that management is provided with accurate and timely reports of financial results and operating statistics, prepares, interprets and presents reports to senior management and the Board of Directors as appropriate. Ensures that all necessary reports are prepared and submitted to regulatory agencies on time.
Manages the activities of the Controller's Department to maximum operating efficiency, including the implementation of various financial systems required to maintain operating leverage. Ensures that the department is adequately staffed with properly trained personnel, making or approving recommendations for staff concerning employment, performance ratings, promotions, salary changes, transfers and terminations. Manages staffing issues. Guides and advises team members in the more complex phases of accounting, cost analysis, and financial and regulatory reporting. Prepares an annual budget for the Controllers area and operates the department within its budgeted expense levels.
Bachelor Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Accounting or other relevant degree pertaining to the essential duties of this role.
