This position ensures general accounting operations are performed efficiently, correctly and according to GAAP, by performing and reviewing daily financial transactions completed by multiple Finance department team members.
This will currently be a hybrid position, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. This may change at a future date.
Prepares and enters daily/monthly GL Operations entry and reconciliation.
Reviews Accounts Payable transactions, and is back up when needed.
Participates in full cycle Finance process.
Reconciles cash receipts entry and credit card transactions.
Creates and maintains the most accurate and up to date process narratives, forms and flow charts for the day-to-day responsibilities of the Finance department.
Calculates and remits sales tax by due dates, and identifies inaccuracies.
Has cash handling experience.
Understands the importance of customer service and is empathetic.
Enjoys interacting with people who are not proficient in accounting and our systems.

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting or equivalent work experience required.
3 years’ hands on experience in general accounting required.
2 years’ experience reconciling activity within an integrated accounting system on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis required.
2 years’ experience with GAAP and ability to apply those principles to internal processes required.
2 years’ working with integrated accounts payable packages required.
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office suite and web enabled applications required.
