Our Business Transformation team partners with our clients to enable, lead, and manage various transaction activities, providing an optimized roadmap and resource plan to efficiently transition from the due diligence phase through post transaction optimization. We have deep expertise in preparing public and private company financial statements while also managing and implementing changes to financial reporting and operational processes, operating models, systems, and controls to aid an organization in realizing the transactions objectives.
The Corporate Transactions Associate Director will be responsible for partnering with our clients to manage the complex, cross-functional processes related to establishing stable Day One operational effectiveness for companies undergoing strategic transformations such as Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, or an IPO.
This role will strategize, develop, plan, and execute effective integration/divestiture/IPO project plans, developing clear tracking and reporting of workstreams across the corporate office (Finance, Accounting, IT, HR, etc.). Projects will focus on strategic decisions and timelines of the transaction as well as operational readiness assessments related to impacts on people, process, technology and policy. This position requires experience with methodologies and tools related to program and change management, business process improvement, risk management, and target operating model design.
More specific responsibilities include:
Understand the company's strategic objectives, drive planning, assess risks and challenges, develop comprehensive project plans inclusive of all workstreams (Finance, Accounting, IT, HR, etc.), monitor status, identify and resolve potential issues, and provide regular updates to leadership.
Build standard operating procedures, best practices, and tools to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the transaction team and implements quality assurance processes to ensure all aspects of the transaction meet or exceed expectations
Effectively manage communication of project execution across transaction stakeholders, including client leadership, project team members and 3rd parties.
Provide program management support and monitor progress against transaction goals and prepare and provide regular reporting of status and escalation of issues to senior and C-Suite stakeholders.
Anticipate potential schedule or priority delays and create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
Manage and assist in business process and control documentation and design
Lead and facilitate operational readiness assessments across a wide range of disciplines
Identify, document and track Transition Service Agreements
Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experienced Project Manager with expertise overseeing the production and completion of large-scale transformative projects. You must be a multi-tasker who has excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, and can effectively manage a team to finish their work efficiently and within deadlines.
Specific experience managing and leading organizations through M&A, divestiture or IPO activities
Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, accurately scopes out length & difficulty of tasks, set goals/objectives, develops schedules, adjusts for problems, effectively/efficiently, prioritizes projects
Learns quickly, intellectually curious, open to change, enjoys challenges and finding solutions and asking difficult questions
Establishes rapport and maintains effective relationships at all levels of an organization
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Knowledgeable of leading practices in the CFO/CAO/Controllership organizations as well as current market trends that may be impacting the finance group
Demonstrated track record of establishing credibility both internally and externally

Strong attention to detail with the ability to think from a "big picture" perspective

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, or other technical discipline
