Human Resources Specialist and Business Office Accountant
Moravian Academy is seeking a dedicated human resources accounting professional to join the Business Office to take primary responsibility for payroll and employee benefits, and to support other essential business processes and projects. This individual will report to the Chief Financial and Operations Officer and be a major contributor to the Business Office during an exciting time of the school merger, systems upgrades and reorganization.
This full time, twelve-month position will begin as soon as possible and is eligible for generous benefits that include health insurance, retirement fund match and lunch service during the school year.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain individual payroll/benefit files for employees
Process biweekly and monthly payrolls
Coordinate employee benefit programs
Provide assistance to employees regarding payroll and benefits
Provide support for year-end audit and departmental budget processes
Coordinate home-to-school bus transportation
Communicate with parents, employees and vendors
Five years of accounting experience in a business office or finance department
Experience with Blackbaud, payroll, and/or other accounting systems preferred
All appropriate state and federal clearances or ability to provide
