The role of the Senior Operations Manager UK will provide transactional support to the Fund Controllers and portfolio managers and will assist with both product development and new Fund launches. In addition the role will support data integrity and provide MI to internal and external stakeholders.
The role will be an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant with in-depth knowledge of financial and regulatory reporting within investment Management. Reporting to the Operations Director in the Real Estate Operations team who is based in the UK, the role holder will principally hold responsibility of real estate corporate data management, creating efficiencies for MI, financial, regulatory and tax reporting for Real Estate Funds. The role holder will also work closely with the real estate portfolio management, investment directing and research teams to ensure static data and reporting meet the needs of stakeholders.
The role will be wide ranging however focused on assisting management in creating efficiencies in all aspects of property and fund accounting, pricing, performance, regulatory reporting and taxation, through the utilisation of technology, both internal and external, to enhance MI reporting for the wider organisation.
Financial and Regulatory Accounting & Reporting
Support the fund controllers with management of taxation activities and service provider oversight
Support process optimisation and maintenance of procedural documentation
Set up and manage the financial control processes for new segregated mandate accounts
Governance, MI & Reporting
Production of fund restriction & counterparty credit reporting
Assist with updating the Fund prospectuses
Co-ordination of any activities related to regulatory and/or industry body change
Co-ordinate the provision of data to Investment Directing & Client Servicing Teams
Lead the quarterly reporting process - MSCI, INREV, AREF
Transaction & Investment Process Support
Provide PM's with support in relation to large Development Projects
ESG - Support Data gathering and reporting
Support and/or Co-ordinate operational and data related project and initiatives
Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required
Experience in the preparation and delivery of regulatory reporting and information
Experience of supporting MI Reporting to internal and external Boards and Committees
Experience of providing transactional support on acquisitions, disposals (including share deals)
3+ years of asset management industry experience, working in a regulatory reporting role
Good Excel skills and competence with other Microsoft Office applications
Organised with a structured approach to working across multiple activities
Proactive hands on mentality / can-do attitude
Experience of managing change and process improvement initiatives
Excellent coommunication skills
Willingness to travel
A qualified accountant or national equivalent with post qualified experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), a proportion of which should have been in a property fund management arena
Project management qualification would be advantageous (e.g. Prince II)
