About Marmon Holdings, Inc.
Marmon Holdings, Inc., part of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., is a global, diversified organization comprised of 100+ autonomous manufacturing and service companies. Marmon businesses operate more than 400 manufacturing, distribution, and service facilities, and employ more than 20,000 people worldwide. If Marmon were a stand-alone public company, it would be on the Fortune 500 list of the largest U.S. corporations. We are among Berkshire Hathaway’s “Powerhouse Six,” Warren Buffett’s term for Berkshire’s largest non-insurance businesses. By any meaningful financial standard, Marmon is a successful group of companies, but numbers tell only part of the story.
Marmon’s performance depends on our people. Any organization might say the same thing, but it is vitally true in the case of Marmon, one of the world’s most decentralized large industrial organizations. We trust our skilled managers and dedicated employees who are closest to their teams, customers, and communities to recognize problems or opportunities and address them with sound judgment, agility, and creativity.
