To provide valuable financial support services to the University community. This includes performing accounting duties related to the reconciliation of credit card accounts and other general ledger accounts, various clearing accounts, remitting sales tax, processing accounting corrections, and interdepartmental transfer journals. Review and approve daily deposit journals. This position also assists faculty and staff with various accounting needs.
Credit Card merchant set up and Chargeback correspondence. Credit card bank reconciliation. Mail and Telecommunication monthly IDT journal processing. Sales Tax bi-weekly remittance. Daily Departmental Deposit review and approval. Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Closing journals processing. Assisting University Community with questions and accounting needs. Reconcile new processes rolling out for single-use Account credit card (SUA), individual travel cards, and pro-card clearing account.
Bachelor's degree in accounting. Four (4) years of experience in governmental or commercial accounting or the equivalent experience.
Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting. Five(5) years of progressively responsible work experience in governmental accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of PeopleSoft-Finance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, individual initiative, and ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. Accurate in all phases of work performed. Team oriented, excellent interpersonal skills.
