As a Senior Business Manager at CrossCountry Consulting, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to the National Accounting Service Line. You will partner with senior leadership to develop and drive strategy and operational processes. This role will be a balance between operations, project and process management, change management, execution, and strategy, and will be responsible for enabling leadership to be as effective as possible in driving the strategy for the Service Line. Develop business strategy in partnership with leadership that will drive growth, profitability, and success; hold leadership accountable for driving strategy forward.
Develop strong relationships with key business and functional leadership based upon strong competencies, respect and experience.
May manage and develop 1-2 operations seniors. Coaching and mentoring team members with a goal of developing and retaining talent at CrossCountry.
Work closely with leadership and functional teams to develop and enforce policies in coordination with corporate Employee Guide, as appropriate
Identify key people, process and technology pain points within Service Line and develop appropriate strategy to improve/ streamline processes (both for ease and scalability)
Work with key players within Operations and leadership to execute key change management initiatives
Develop and execute a communications plan; liaise with key players within Operations to ensure communications plan is in-line with firm-wide communication strategy
Work closely with leadership and Corporate Training team to set yearly training budget; actively monitor actuals vs. budget. Identify problem areas where Service Line is going overbudget and address accordingly.
Work with Corporate Training team to manage Technical training strategy and delivery; in-person Operations point of contact for technical trainings
Review and analyze financials/key metrics; report on trends to senior leadership; develop analyses that illuminate issues/resolutions
Analyze yearly Employee Engagement Results; summarize and put a plan in place to address results
Operations point of contact for events and meetings; responsible for sharing key Operations updates to the Service Line
Work with leadership to drive and create content for quarterly company-wide meetings, service line meetings, AD meetings, Townhalls, etc.
Marketing liaison, responsible for ensuring governance structure in place for all related marketing efforts
Tailor and manage internal processes to meet the needs of the Service Line while maintaining compliance with firm approach (e.g. onboarding, performance management, etc.)
Drive the Performance Management process for the Service Line;
Assist with Coaching assignments and identifying Project Reviewers, as needed
Provide employee recommendations for various Leadership Programs
Review Performance Management reports (ongoing project feedback, coaching 1:1's, and Development Plans); hold employees accountable to meeting performance management deadlines.
Coordinate and facilitate year-end calibration discussions, ensure documentation is provided on-time, and communicate with coaches during pre and post calibration to set expectations.
Own the Compensation review process for Service Line, including reviewing with Partners/Key people and tracking the delivery of annual compensation information to employees
Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a professional services landscape
High quality professional presentation skills, including excellent writing and public speaking capabilities; ability to project a professional demeanor at all times to stakeholders of all levels. Open and honest communicator with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to operate in an independent manner without close supervision is essential as is ability to call out challenges and solutions. Understanding of priorities and adherence to deadlines.
Superior proficiency in standard PC programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to work constructively and flexibly in a team environment, and to assist at the direction of the Leadership in the execution, tracking and management of a variety of tasks.
Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience working with professional services firms
Experience serving in a consulting capacity (preferred)
