Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a senior accountant and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Maintains control of accounts and records in all areas of the financial statement; Responsible for reconciling, reviewing account transactions and accounts in the financial statements
Responsible for the calculation, analyzing and the review of deferred benefit plans for the corporation
Prepares quarterly tax schedules and Forward Pricing Schedules for the Corporate Tax department, Long Range Plans for the FP&A group
Analyze financial information and prepare monthly financial states and supporting schedules for Corporate headquarters and other companies
Responsible for SOX 404 walkthroughs and testing
Prepare, analyze and review certain disclosures in the SEC 10-Q, 10-K and Proxy
Research technical accounting issues impacting the corporation, document via position/research memos and apply to the financial statements
Continuously analyze certain accounting processes ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Opportunity exists to coordinate flexible work hours and part time telecommuting schedule based on work load.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion
Demonstrated experience with financial management systems
6 years of related accounting experience or 4 years with related Masters degree
CPA license - active
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
Effective research skills
Demonstrated experience with financial reporting activities
Experience applying principles to transactions in compliance with FAR, CAS, and GAAP
