The Tax Manager plays a key role in enabling the Tax Department to deliver on its promises to its various internal and external stakeholders by delivering timely and accurate tax reporting for financial statement and regulatory purposes along with assisting on tax planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and prepare ASC 740 and SSAP 101 quarterly accruals and footnotes as required.
Review and prepare Consolidated Federal and State Unitary income tax returns including Life Insurance companies.
Review required estimated payments.
Review and prepare tax projections.
Conduct tax research and other special projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of consolidated tax return and tax provision work
Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
Ability to guide projects and provide leadership and direction to staff
Detail oriented
Ability to work under time constraints
Desire to stay current on emerging tax issues and trends applicable to the organization
Continuously searching for the most efficient processes to improve tax operations
Willing to challenge the status quo
Ability to work well in a team environment and recognizes the contribution of other areas in the success of the Tax Department and acknowledges such
