Position is in the medical business office. Moderate Excel experience required. Analytical skills and experience preferred.
Review and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Participate in the preparation and analysis of hospital financial statements and reports. Provide information and assistance to auditors. Prepare account reconciliations and financial analyses. Ensure adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.
Related Education and Experience may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis.
REPORTS - Generate timely and accurate financial reports and financial analyses. Explain variances for monthly trends analyses
RECORDS - Maintain departmental reports and records; collect statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes
PREPARE - Prepare monthly journal entries
CUSTOMER SERVICE - Respond to customer inquiries; research and resolve financial transaction problems
REVIEW- Review petty cash/reimbursement requests for accuracy, completeness and adherence to policy
AUDIT - Develop, oversee and conduct various routine and special audits, research and correct data to maintain integrity of programs
DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops
REVIEW - Review and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
REPORTS - Develop reports for internal distribution and reporting
ANALYZE - Analyze and research cash balances, income statement trends and balance sheet activity. Validate financial statement information for accuracy, completeness and proper account classification
PREPARE - Prepare and reconcile daily cash deposits
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline
1 year directly related experience
