The Senior Accountant will provide accounting and tax advisory services to various clients to help them achieve their financial goals. As the client's financial advisor, the Senior Accountant will utilize an intimate view of the client's operations to guide effective improvement systems, scaling, and tax strategy. They will ensure complete accuracy and the highest standards are met throughout the entire process.
What you'll do:
Build and maintain a proactive, professional relationship with clients.
Prepare and file tax returns, analyzing and reporting results to clients providing recommendations to minimize liabilities.
Prepare semi-annual and annual income tax projections including business and personal income, adjustments, deductions, credits, and tax payments.
Identify opportunities for clients to reduce taxable income, provide assistance in implementing opportunities.
Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual financial statements for external and internal clients in compliance with GAAP.
Review external and internal client bookkeeping data quarterly, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Analyze accounting data and information for accuracy.
Identifying areas for improvement in the clients’ systems and practices, suggesting and supporting specific change initiatives.
Stay up to date on accounting and tax regulations and principals and general economic trends.
What you'll bring:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) Certification required
2+ years' experience in accounting or finance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Quicken, Thomson Reuters Professional Suite, and TValue
Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, time management, and strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, able to develop relationships with clients, business partners, and co-workers
