The Assistant Business Manager position is responsible for the oversight and processing of all financial transactions related to a NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletics department. This includes maintaining accurate, compliant and confidential records and providing necessary account reconciliations, analysis, policy education and enforcement, as well as budget/expense forecasting as requested by the Associate Athletics Director, Business Manager. This position requires initiative, judgment and considerable verbal and written contact with athletic staff, university community and outside entities.
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience in accounting or finance; Or a Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field with 5+ years of accounting work experience. Ability to manage multiple tasks, remain organized, deal with a heavy workload, prioritize work, and apply a high level of attention to detail.
Preferred: Experience within a Division I athletics business office or other similar responsibilities. Experience with Banner Finance.
