The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst reports directly to the Senior Manager of Business Analytics and is responsible for creating reporting, data visualization, analytics capabilities and solutions. The successful candidate is skilled with acquiring, modeling, and constructing complex reports and visualizations with data, aligned with the priorities identified by the Business Analytics Group.
Responsible for the functional and technical development of reports, data visualizations, and analytics capabilities, with a primary focus on SAP S/4 HANA data sources. Gather and document business functional requirements from end-users. Identify, communicate, and resolve data gaps that impact the fulfillment of the business’ functional requirements. Develop data models, ad hoc reports, and dashboards. Share observations and recommendations with management and stakeholders for further consideration. Provide support and back-up for business analytics projects as time permits.
Other responsibles will include supporting the Business Analytics Group with existing reporting break/fix or enhancement requests.
Duties and Responsibilities
Development and testing of reports and dashboards
Development of SAP HANA data views, and Alteryx data workflows
Gathering and documenting business requirements for new capabilities
Support small enhancement and break/fix requests
Assist with mentoring business users on report or tool usage
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Development of reports, dashboards, and analytics, preferably by using SAP Business Objects, Tableau, and Alteryx
Structured Query Language (SQL), strong knowledge of relational databases, and the ability to build and maintain database views (SAP HANA preferred)
Ability to design meaningful and engaging data visualizations
Gathering, organizing, and documenting user requirements for new reporting and analytics capabilities
Ability to work well with all levels of the organization, and establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners. Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and priority-setting skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an analytics or data driven discipline
At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably using SAP BI and SAP S/4 HANA
