Financial Analyst I Lubbock 25834BR Accounting Services
Position Description Performs central accounting and financial analysis functions according to established procedures.
Process accounting transactions and maintain supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and conformance to governing regulation and policy including but not limited to d’tag, Sciquest, JV’s, missing/stolen, loaned etc.
Maintain fixed asset system including review of daily entries (acquisitions, coding changes, transfers, deletions, gifts-in-kind, inter-agency transfers, and trade-ins and update of location and commodity tables.
Perform edit checks and other periodic monitoring procedures to ensure fixed asset data is complete and accurate including but not limited to data checks, updating master workbooks and monitoring prepaid capital assets.
Serve as the point of contact and assist property custodians with the annual inventory certification process and monitor property management emails. Perform inventory reviews per established policy and procedure.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience OR combination of education and experience to equal 5 years.
Accounting or finance degree, CPA or CPA candidate.
