Reporting to the Manager of Accounting the Senior Accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. The position is also responsible for monitoring GAAP and accounting regulations to ensure assigned processes and procedures comply with current regulations and represent good internal control. Reporting requirements include, the integrity of the College's integrated financial system and databases, monitoring accounting information to ensure accuracy, and timely and complete financial reporting. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for designing and producing regular analytics for internal reporting and complex year-end audit work papers along with monthly, quarterly and annual analysis for the assigned Statement of Activity and Balance Sheet accounts. The position will work independently with external and internal auditors for assigned audits. The Senior Accountant will have frequent contact with multiple departments throughout the College.
