Location: Colorado preferred, but also open to Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Washington, and Wisconsin.
As the Senior Accountant you will be responsible for applying skills in various areas such as month end procedures, revenue management, and data analytics. Using past experience while gaining further knowledge will allow this individual to excel their career as the needs of the Finance department and the company grow. Having an awareness of the financial impact your decisions make whether you are building or improving current processes, working with department heads, or consulting with our accounting firm is crucial to the success of the company and this role.
Work with accounting team to complete Month End and Year End close including journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting, and maintaining supporting documentation.
Revenue Management under ASC-606 Properly capture, track and report revenue in accordance with the company revenue recognition policies.
Analyze and maintain company revenue metrics in business intelligence software.
Analyze financial data to assist with preparing budget variance reports
Analyze and interpret complex accounting transactions in accordance with (GAAP) rules and regulations.
Partner with members of various departments to create profitability reports on their projects and initiatives.
Record Monthly Payroll Entries and Reconcile Payroll Liability accounts
Review and approve Staff Accountant’s work
Assist with the annual audit from the preparation to providing support to audit staff.
Reviews current processes and procedures, and makes recommendations and/or changes as needed

Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance
3+ years relevant accounting experience
Ability to work on multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines
Excellent accounting, analytical, and research skills.
Strong work-ethic and drive to produce quality work and continually learn
Strong knowledge of US GAAP requirements and regulations
Ability to be a positive team player, willing to grow and change
Effective oral and written communication.
Excellent interpersonal skills/ team player
Food & Beverage and Supplements industry experience a plus, but not required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or currently on CPA track highly preferred
Knowledge of SaaS companies
Knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP system
