Reporting to the Associate Controller, the Senior Accountant will prepare and reconcile payments for accounts payable, be responsible for oversight, timely reconciliation and payment of credit card activity, manage vendor maintenance, reconcile various balance sheet accounts, manage departmental records, and provide support to the Controllerâ€™s Office as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: â€¢Vendor data entry and maintenance in Ellucian (Banner) Accounts Payable module. â€¢Monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts (i.e. travel advances, liability accounts, etc.) â€¢Manages credit card payments, ensures timely submission of all required receipts and supporting documentation â€¢Assists in implementation of new travel system and ensures timely reconciliations of travel expenses â€¢Reviews and reconciles credit card transactions to supporting documentation and submission of all documents for payment processing. â€¢Prepares monthly accounts payable reconciliation and ensures timely resolution of all items. â€¢Receipt and distribution of all Financial Affairs mail, invoices and check requisitions. â€¢Daily check review and reconciliation. â€¢Prepares and/or assists with any ad-hoc projects required by management â€¢Assists with the review and documentation of internal processes and procedures and recommends process improvements as appropriate. â€¢Uses independent judgement to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload. â€¢Provides support to department Directors as needed. â€¢Performs other related duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, onsite position. Work for this role is performed on campus.
