Rider University invites applications for an Associate Vice President and Controller. Reporting to the Vice President for Finance & Chief Financial Officer, this individual will plan, direct and monitor the accounting and financial activities of the University including financial and tax reporting, payroll and accounts payable, and treasury management. The Associate Vice President and Controller will act as liaison with the Audit & ERM Committee and Business Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees, and with the external auditors, brokers, granting agencies, banks, investment advisors, et al. The successful candidate will evidence effective interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills, and the ability to contribute at both the strategic and operational levels.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 10 years accounting experience with evidence of increasing levels of responsibility including staff supervision, with a strong preference for experience in higher education or a not-for-profit setting

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

Master's degree and/or Certified Public Accountant
Demonstrated effective interaction with cabinet members and governing board members
