What you be doing in this role:
The Accounting Manager leads all aspects of the accounting functions for Cedars-Sinai in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and is:
Responsible for reviewing the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for Cedars-Sinai and Cedars-Sinai Health System (including all affiliates)
Responsible for the month-end close process, including reviewing account reconciliations and investigating budget-to-actual account variances
Responsible for the annual Financial Statement audit for Cedars-Sinai Health System, including reviewing audit schedules and drafting footnote disclosures
Responsible for researching and preparing memorandums on technical accounting matters including business combinations, debt transactions, and new accounting pronouncements
Responsible for tax-exempt debt financing/refinancing as well as overall compliance with continuing disclosure requirements pursuant to bond trustee and rating agencies
Acts as a liaison between Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and its affiliates including the Medical Delivery Network, Marina Del Rey, Torrance Memorial Medical Center, Pasadena Hospital Association, affiliated surgical centers, and joint ventures for all accounting and financial reporting functions
Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting
Assists in budget preparation/review and works with departments to help monitor their budgets on a monthly basis

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field required. Master's degree preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, audit or public accounting experience in the healthcare industry required
Currently functioning at a manager level
Experience/Skills Sought:
