PSW is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our rapidly growing company. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the budgeting, forecasting and management reporting processes specifically supporting our Medicare Advantage division. This is an opportunity to join a growing finance department in a company dedicated to improving the value of healthcare across the US.
The Senior Financial Analyst applies analytical thought processes and reporting expertise to translate financial and clinical data into impactful financial analyses. Under minimal supervision, the analyst will manage assigned responsibilities as it relates to budgets, cost accounting, and financial decision support. The analyst will develop custom reports/dashboards and ensure the accuracy of financial models that support operational and strategic decision making for multiple lines of business. Additionally, the analyst will perform forecasting for value-based contracts.
Required Education and/or Work Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of financial analysis experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
At least two (2) years’ experience in the healthcare field working with Medicare programs
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
Knowledge of managerial accounting and financial statement analysis
Proactive team player, strong follow through, quick decision-making abilities and ability to problem solve.
Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation) with both external and internal customers.
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills; ability to function within a rapid time period.
Self-starter. Ability to prioritize given changing conditions and keep to projected schedules
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
Proficient in the use of MS Excel including Pivot Tables, intermediate functions such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF, data filters, and charts.
Set a positive example by always displaying a pleasant, approachable demeanor and remaining friendly and courteous.
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) including being able to effectively maintain written and computer records in accordance with regulatory agencies.
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field or Certified Public Accountant license.
Minimum of five (5) years of financial analysis experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
At least three (3) years’ experience in the healthcare field.
Advanced understanding of the Medicare Advantage or CMMI Innovation programs
