The Tax Accountant position is responsible for preparation of various types of tax returns for clients. The tax accountant will work with Fiduciary Trust’s investment officers to provide to provide guidance and advice to clients regarding tax planning.
Primary Responsibilities
Accurate and timely preparation of assigned Individual Income Tax Returns, Fiduciary Income Tax Returns, Income Tax Information Letters and Quarterly Estimated Tax Payments for assigned Individuals and Trusts.
Develop and maintain strong familiarity with in house and vendor systems (Onesource trust–tax, CCH Axcess, FIS Global Plus) for tax return production.
Maintain efficient work flow and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changes in procedures and following established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and State tax law.
Furnish technical knowledge, advice, and consultation to all levels of staff and clients through effective verbal and written communication.
Bachelor’s degree CPA or EA designation preferred.
Minimum 5 years of tax preparation experience in a high-net-worth client environment.
Strong knowledge of tax law and compliance and experience in tax preparation software.
