Job Title: Senior Accountant, Grants and Revenue
Division: Finance and Administration

Position Overview:
The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is seeking a Senior Accountant. Due to company growth, The National Association of Manufacturers seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Corporate Finance team. The position reports to the Controller and will be responsible for recording, reconciling, and reporting the company's various revenue streams including grants. The right candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, superior analytical and problem-solving skills,
and a customer service mindset.

- Review customer contracts and grants to ensure proper revenue recognition for dues and subscriptions
- Play a key role in month-end closing activities, including preparation of deferred revenue journal entries
- Assist with reconciliation of accrued and deferred revenue accounts
- Review invoice batches, credit memos, and fee adjustments
- Perform grant-related post-award functions, including budget and expense analysis, periodic invoicing, financial reporting, labor distribution changes, reconciliations, re-budgeting, and grant closeout functions required by Grants and Contracts Administration.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports to donors as required.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports on grants for internal management purposes.
- Work with the VP of Finance and Controller on cash flow forecasts for programs.
- Review invoices and provide account codes, when appropriate, for proper project accounting.
- Prepare and distribute periodic invoices for project reimbursement.
- Work with Program Team Leader, Controller and VP Finance, in the development of forecasts, budgets and budget revisions for programs.
- Communicate monthly financial results with appropriate program staff, informing them of financial position of the project.
- Coordinate with the controller to process journal entries to various projects if needed.
- Ensure compliance of grants with NAM & MI policies/procedures and donor rules/regulations.
- Coordinate themonthly review and reconciliation of cash accounts associated with NAM and MIgrants and other revenue including receipt of monthly bank statements.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for NAM's & MI's all revenues
- Prepare daily revenue reports
- Assist the Finance staff with the annual audits.
- Identify and recommend cost savings initiatives for program activities and the organization
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis in response to requests or to provide support to various programs.

We are looking for Team Players who meet the Following Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in a not-for-profit environment preferred
- Solid understanding of GAAP especially in-depth knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, salesforce, or other similar accounting software
