Primarily responsible for maintaining and reporting business transactions for multiple University related entities including preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, sales taxes, and audit schedules required for annual financial statements. Provides support for cash disbursements for affiliated entities. Manages record-keeping for the taxable fringe benefits process, the life insurance gift program, other planned giving programs. Provides support to the Assistant Director with other accounting duties as needed.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or Associate's degree in accounting; or Associate's degree in business or related discipline with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a four-year college or university including 12 hours of accounting, or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
BS Degree in Business or Accounting. Strong excel skills. Knowledge of GAAP and FASB accounting standards.
