Performs complex finance functions and/or activities requiring advanced technical or professional expertise and application of internal policies and systems and external regulations. Completes work independently, and may oversee a key area within an accounting function as needed.
Responsibilities
Prepare complex and detailed work papers used to prepare the 990PF and 990T. Primary responsibility for California sales and use tax and Los Angeles County property tax. Communicate with external service providers and internal customers on regular basis. Analyze financial transactions to ensure compliance with tax law and Getty policy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
6-10 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of non-profit environment preferred
Knowledge of California sales and use tax and 990, 990PF, or 990T experience
Advanced proficiency in business and financial applications such as Microsoft Office suite and PeopleSoft
Knowledge of GAAP
Advanced professional communication skills, including the ability to prepare materials to clearly and effectively communicate information to a variety of audiences (internal and external)
Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
