The Business Manager, under direction, manages a full range of business activities for Auxiliary Services.
Responsibilities:
Manage budget and accounting functions for the department for a budget of approximately $15,000,000. Oversees and processes human resources, payroll and travel functions including workflow, serves as departmental approver for business documents and requests. Supervises and trains assigned staff. Serves as primary business contact on department. Develop financial and statistical analysis and summary reports.
Perform quarterly and as needed reviews and audits of all inventory for Auxiliary Services and Student Center Operations. Reviews and completes the yearly fixed assets report for the total inventory. Assist with Banner and CSgold system relatives to student meals and laundry plans along with ID pictures. Processes the billing with the Event Management System to verify payments are made before events take place.
Manages business files by taking responsibility for overseeing all billing within Auxiliary Services, Parking & Transportation, Laundry, and the Student Center Operations are processed and approved for payment in a timely manner by Accounts Payable.  Verifies and processes all invoices from Pepsi Citywide, Follett Dining Contractor. Reconciling the month end reports for Auxiliary Services.
Participates in the management, policy, fiscal, and programming decisions of the department on an ongoing basis or as changes occur. Implements and audits business procedures and trains staff on new and existing procedures.Â
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ™s degree.
Five years of related experience in business, accounting or personnel operations.
Two years of supervisory experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelorâ™s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Five years of accounting and management experience.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Knowledge in GAAP, revenue and state funding and ability to reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
