Job Description
TopBuild has an opportunity for a Tax Analyst. In this role, you will support the tax function with income tax compliance and accounting.
As a Tax Analyst, you will perform the following functions:
Assist in the preparation of the Consolidated Federal Tax Return and Local Tax Returns.
Prepare schedules supporting Federal, State, and Local returns.
Preparation and timely filing of the Federal, State and Local estimates and extensions.
Assist in preparation of the quarterly and year-end ASC 740 tax provisions.
Maintain current income tax account reconciliations.
Research relevant federal and state tax topics as requested and prepare written summations.
Research government tax notices, gather/analyze necessary information, and prepare correspondence as needed.
Assist in the international tax compliance and provision processes.
Assist with the gathering of information necessary for federal and state audits.
Other projects as required.
Education & Certifications
Minimum Degree: BS/BA in Accounting
Course of Study: Accounting/Finance
Special Certification or Licensing: CPA or Advanced Degree a plus
Special Requirements: Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, consistently meet deadlines and deal with diverse and rapidly changing priorities.
Experience
Minimum experience: 1 - 4 years large public accounting experience or related large corporate tax experience

Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proven ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial, unstructured environment.
Strong tax/accounting foundation – ability to understand how tax transactions impact financial statements.
Proficient with Word, Excel, and other general office environment software.
Experience with tax software systems.
Experience with tax research software.
Experience with major ERP systems.
Position Location: Must be able to work onsite in Daytona Beach, FL. This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on the company's needs.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a typical office environment and may require standing, bending, lifting of boxes or packages under 10 lbs., and sitting for long periods of time.
Work requires regularly inputting/retrieving words or data into or from an automated/computer system.
