The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) seeks to hire a Senior Accountant. This position provides accounting support to multiple departments and monitors collegiate budgets across the College. This position reports to a Associate Budget/Financial Officer within the Dean's Office.
Prepare financial information for CLAS and departmental budgets using GL, MAUI, APPO, CumComp, and HR Reports.
Prepare accounting reports for other departments or units outside CLAS using iPlan or EFR.
Process and review transactions from various financial systems including: ProTrav, eBuy, eVouchers, PCard, GLDSS, ACH, and UI Foundation.
Maintain and reconcile existing charts of accounts for assigned departments.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent written and verbal skills, as demonstrated at a working proficiency level
Proficient in computer software applications of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong customer service orientation
Working experience in performing account reconciliations
Working knowledge of automated accounting systems
Working knowledge of university policies, procedures and regulations
Working knowledge of database management
