To prepare the University's financial statements in accordance with GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles); serve as a liaison for the University's financial statement audit conducted by the Office of the State Auditor; manage financial reporting-related processes and standards; manage staff responsible for maintaining accounting/financial records and financial reporting and capital assets related processes and standards; prepare other externally requested financial reports.
The position will also support the Financial Reporting Director (position 00168) and will also perform supervisory duties in the absence of the position.

The Reporting Department is a unit of the Controller's Office responsible for the coordination and preparation of annual financial statements and external financial reporting; debt service, capital improvements, and loan accounting; all other required University financial reporting; providing a thorough response to internal and external questions to reporting; and maintenance of the BANNER Finance Chart of Accounts.

Master's degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline with 2years or relative experience of training and experience.

All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Certified Public Accountant certification is preferred but not required.
3-5 years of work experience in financial reporting or related field
