To provide accounting support for the College of Engineering Dean's Office which includes a number of organizational processes such as reconciling statements, analyzing reports, transfers, monitoring cost centers and projects. This position requires the ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement, including working effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, and administration.
Manages reconciliation of statements for cost centers and projects for the Dean of Engineering.
Prepares and analyzes financial and HR reports to facilitate in decision-making for the college.
Monitors costs centers and projects within the college and ensures errors are fixed in a timely manner.
Processes transfers and provides backup for travel authorizations, expense reports, requisitions, purchase orders, and vouchers, and Procard transactions.
Serves as a liaison between the Dean's office and other departments within the college regarding financial, budgetary, or administrative processes.
Bachelor's degree with two years upper level accounting or administrative experience or high school with six years of increasingly responsible administrative or accounting experience.
Higher education experience, accounting related experience with ability to work independently on projects. Possess excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to be flexible to the needs of the office. Experience with MS Office Suit (Word, Excel, Outlook), preferably Excel. Experience with PeopleSoft or UTShare. Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
