POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Manager will join high profile research studies that focus on HIV and HPV disease both in the United States and in Central Africa. In this role, the administrative program manager will oversee complex budgets and provide administrative support/supervision both to the national and foreign site investigators. Manager is essential in liaising with the NIH grants management specialists and project officers, Albert Einstein College of Medicine finance and grants management offices, and collaborators. The program manager leads in the administrative tasks for NIH progress reports, grant proposals and other deliverables. The program manager is expected to travel to foreign sites for administrative coordination as well as logistical organization of overseas meetings.
- Support Principal Investigators in all aspects of grant applications and management of awards
- Provide administrative, financial, and technical support and supervision to both domestic and foreign subcontracts ensuring that all institutions are compliant with NIH guidelines
- Work closely with grant accountant and project coordinator in managing complex multi-year budgets that include both domestic and overseas contracts
- Review and approve all incoming payments requests for both overseas and domestic projects and purchases-ensuring they reflect expenses on annual budget
- Act as liaison with NIH grants management specialist and project officers ensuring that progress reports and other deliverables meet all requirements.
- Act as point of contact to grants management office at Albert Einstein College of Medicine
- Assist with planning and organizing in-person meetings, webinars, conferences, and training
- Responsible for ensuring that memoranda of understanding (MOUs), scopes of work and Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) are in place and active with all overseas partners
- Develop, write, and prepare IRB research protocols, informed consents and minor modifications for review.
- Keep abreast of the Office of Human Research Protection (OHRP) regulations and HIPPA and provide oversight to ensure study compliance.
- Ensure the practice of research ethics.
- Attend administrative and leadership meetings and provide administrative updates as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree with 7 years' experience required. Master's degree preferred.
- NIH grants management training, experience working in foreign countries and French language proficiency are a plus
- Excellent writing skills. Proficiency in MS word, excel, Outlook and zoom.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Previous experience with working federally funded grants and French language a Plus
Minimum Salary Range
USD $63,750.00/Yr.Maximum Salary Range
USD $85,000.00/Yr.
